Today, we are very excited to tell you that our very own JAJAH employee – Irene G – from Customer Support team was selected by Telefónica, our parent company, to participate in the volunteering project Proniño 2011 , which seeks to stop child labor. The project will take place in El Salvador!
As a jajah ambassador, Irene will share this amazing life changing experience with us. What kids’ lives look like in El-Salvador, what she is teaching them and what she learned from them. The program starts August 13th.
Telefónica volunteers are employees from all over the world who agreed to spend 2 weeks of their annual vacation time taking part in different projects that will be carried out in various Latin American countries. These projects were set up in collaboration with organizations from Fundación Telefónica’s Proniño Programme, which seeks to contribute to the eradication of child labor in Latin America.
We are proud of Irene to be one of the few that were selected to this program! Wish her luck and stay tuned!
